Write, fax, and call the Chicago Police Board and the Mayor’s Office.

Chicago Police Board:

Telephone: (312) 742-4194

To Whom it May Concern,

Anthony Abbate is a disgrace to the Chicago Police Department. He is now a convicted criminal and should not be allowed to continue patrolling our streets. He has violated the trust of every citizen in this city.

I am outraged by his lenient sentence and I am urging you to dismiss Anthony Abbate at his July 7th hearing.

Best Regards,

I’ll be writing that letter pronto, thanks! This is a disgrace. It’s time that women start realizing that we can’t sit back and allow our police and court system to treat women as if they aren’t worthy of protection from thugs like Abbate. The sad thing is, I see more outrage from the public when there is a story about an animal that was abused than when a woman is abuse. I don’t believe animals should be abused either, but don’t we women deserve to be protected by our government also?

I did a story about this on my blog (a small blog) and hope that this story continues to make its way through the blogosphere.
